About Me
I am a working musician based in London. Currently, I am gigging
and recording with several bands of different styles, from a 50s
rock-n-roll covers act, to a 6-piece indie rock band and most
recently a funk 4-piece.
I teach at St. Mary Magdalene Academy in Islington, Chobham Academy and Rosemary Works, where I tutor children from ages 11-18 (year 7 to upper sixth form college). I also run a weekly ‘Live Lounge’ (guitar club), which is proving
more and more popular with keen students. I also teach several
students privately, ranging from a 13-year-old girl to a policeman!
Ensuring that beginners don't make the mistakes that are so often
made when starting out is a task I consider very important, and
one I get a lot of enjoyment from. I like teaching the basics in
new and inventive ways, and I love that ‘look of revelation’ on a
student’s face when something finally ‘clicks’.
